Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) today banned live and recorded coverage of all types of rallies, public gatherings in Islamabad. In this regard, it has been stated in the notification that the coverage of rally and gathering of any individual, organization or political party will be banned. The notification said that action will be taken against the TV channel violating the instructions. The license of TV channels will be suspended without issuing a show cause notice for violation.
